It is usually the first day of the Coptic calendar (in the period 1900 to 2099 A.D.).
The terms "September 11" and "9/11" have been widely used in the Western media as a shorthand for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon in the United States of America.
