Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, are systems to help the driver in its driver process. When designed with a safe HMI it should increase car safety and more generally road safety. Examples of such a system are:

• In-vehicle navigation system with typically TMC for providing up-to-date traffic information .
• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
• Lane/Road Departure Detection/warning system
• Collision warning system
• ISA, Intelligent Speed Advice or Intelligent Speed Adaptation
• Night Vision
• Adaptive Light Control
