Big Horde

Big or Great Horde was the central principality of the Golden Horde. In early 15th century Golden Horde started to gradually desintegrate. The major principalities of Kazan and Crimea gained independence. Muscovy, Astrakhan, Nogay Horde and Siberia followed. The remaining territory around capital Saray claimed to be the Golden Horde, but it could not match neither political nor military power of the latter. In 1502 Big Horde was completely destroyed by Mengli Ghiray of Crimean Khanate.
