Caret may mean:

  • the ASCII character ^ (0x5E hex), called circumflex accent in the Unicode standard
  • the Unicode character ‸ (U+2038), the actual caret of the Unicode standard
  • in Windows API terminology, it means text insertion point indicator (whereas the word cursor is reserved for mouse pointer)
