Category:History of the Germanic peoples

This category is intended for articles and subcategories about the Germanic-speaking peoples of Europe.

Note that though the scope of this entry is not restricted to the ancient Germanic peoples (e.g. Goths, Vandals, Saxons), that it generally makes little sense to speak of the Germanic peoples collectively after the early medieval era, and may even be regarded as racist, even though Germanic peoples no more constitute a "race" than do Latin peoples.
