Cecilia of Sweden

Cecilia of Sweden, also Cecilia Vasa (Stockholm, November 16, 1540 - 1627), was Princess of Sweden and daughter of King Gustav I and Queen Margareta Leijonhufvud.

She married Christoph, Marquess of Baden-Rodemachern (1537 - 1575).

During her life she traveled to England in an attempt to convice Queen Elizabeth I to marry her brother King Eric XIV. While there she delivered her first child, Edward .

Edward was a fifth generation maternal ancestor of Karl Eugen, Duke of Württemberg, Ludwig Eugen, Duke of Württemberg and Friedrich II Eugen, Duke of Württemberg.
