CodeWeavers

CodeWeavers is a company that sells a proprietary fork of WINE called CrossOver Office, for running Windows applications on Linux. The company was founded in 1996 as a consultancy, eventually moving entirely over to WINE support.

CodeWeavers is a major contributor to the WINE Project, an open-source initiative that helps Windows applications run on different operating systems, such as Linux and Solaris, and employs the project lead, Alexandre Julliard. They develop and market CrossOver Office, which lets Microsoft software staples like Office, Word, and Excel run on Linux, and also provides implementation and consulting services on open-source software projects.

The CEO of the company is Jeremy White .

CodeWeavers is also a founding member of the Desktop Linux Consortium.
