Dawna Friesen is a foreign correspondent for NBC News, based in the network's London bureau. She appears on NBC and MSNBC.
A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and graduate of Red River College, Friesen has worked in journalism since 1985, working across Western Canada – in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Winnipeg, Brandon, Manitoba, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Vancouver.
She reported and anchored for CBC television in Vancouver and for CBC Newsworld. She then moved to the CTV as a national reporter for the network, and an anchor for CTV NewsNet. She moved to NBC in 1999.
