Dawson College

Dawson College is a CEGEP (Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel or College of General and Vocational Education) located in Montreal, Quebec. It is the largest English language CEGEP in existence with a student population of over seven thousand day students and three thousand night students. Originally spread over the city, currently Dawson College occupies the former mother house of the Congregation of Notre-Dame-de-Montreal, a large yellow-brick building located at 4001 De Maisonneuve in Westmount, at the corner of avenue Atwater, directly connected to Atwater metro station.

Dawson College provides students with many alternatives to the standard learning environment. The New School is a course grouping at Dawson College in Montreal, Quebec, which is based on the principles of humanistic education. The New School offers English and Humanities courses on a wide range of topics, taught in a participation-based learning environment.
