Dendrobatids are small Central and South American frogs. Although this is not a formal taxonomic term, 'Dendrobatid is used by herpetologists to refer to a group of genera commonly known as "poison-arrow" or "poison-dart" frogs. These include Dendrobates, Epipedobates, Minyobates and Phyllobates, as well as related genera such as Aromobates and Colostethus.
