In astrology, domicile, rulership or house is the strongest essential dignity of a planet. Each planet has its domicile in the sign or signs it rules.

In law, domicile is a term that designates where a person resides for purposes of determining certain legal questions such as the ability to invoke the diversity jurisdiction of a United States Federal Court, or the interpretation of a will.
