The Dongfeng missile (東風飛彈 for East Wind) is a series of intermediate and intercontinental ballistic missiles operated by the People's Republic of China.

  • Dongfeng 2 received the NATO codename CSS-1 (CSS stands for Chinese Surface-to-Surface)
  • Dongfeng 3 received the NATO codename CSS-2
  • Dongfeng 4 received the NATO codename CSS-3
  • Dongfeng 5 received the NATO codename CSS-4
  • Dongfeng 11 received the NATO codename CSS-7
  • Dongfeng 15 received the NATO codename CSS-6
  • Dongfeng 21 received the NATO codename CSS-5


Hardware from the Dongfeng missile is used in the Long March rocket.
