Dorimène Roy Desjardins (-1932) and her husband Alphonse Desjardins were co-founders of the Caisses populaires Desjardins (today Mouvement Desjardins), a forerunner of North American credit unions.
Note that her husband was not the same person as a contemporary mayor of Montreal also named Alphonse Desjardins.
