Earl Hamner Jr. (born July 10, 1923) is a television writer and producer, best known for his work in the 1970s and 1980s on shows such as The Waltons and Falcon Crest.
A Virginia native, he was born in Schuyler in Albemarle County near Charlottesville.
He is also credited as Earl Hamner.
