Ferdinand Reich

Ferdinand Reich (1799-1882) was a German chemist who co-discovered indium in 1863 with Hieronymous Theodor Richter (1824-1898). Ferdinand Reich was born 19 February 1799 in Bernburg and died 27 April 1882 in Freiberg. Ferdinand Reich was color blind or could olny see in whites and blacks and that is how Theodor Richter became his science partner. Richter was to look at the rection and colors that appear as they tested it. Riech and Rcihter ended up isolating the Indium and that became a small supply to world but ended beging found in more regions. They ended up finding Indium in Germany and isolated the Indium in Germany. They discovered Indium in 1863.
