Feverfew

Feverfew, is a name used to describe plants from three different genera of the Compositae.

  • Chrysanthemum parthenium (L.) Bernh.
  • Pyrethrum parthenium (L.) Sm.
  • Tanacetum parthenium (L.) Sch. Bip.

All three species are used in traditional medicine for reducing fever—thus the common name they share—and for treating headaches and migraines and for arthritis.
