Flora (plants)

In Botany a Flora is a collective term for plant life and can also refer to a descriptive catalogue of the plants of any geographical area, geological period, etc.

The equivalent term from zoology is fauna.

Some of the first Flora created are Simon Paulli's Flora Danica 1647, Rupp's Flora Jenensis 1718, and Carolus Linnaeus Flora Suecica 1745.
