Hendrick Antoon Lorentz (1853-1928) was a Dutch physicist, a pioneer in the comprehension of relations between electricity, magnetism, and light. He was also one of the first to postulate the concept of electrons. He shared the 1902 Nobel Prize for his explanation of the Zeeman effect, which is the change in spectrum effects in magnetic fields.
