Henophidia is a superfamily that contains boas, pythons and other "primitive" snakes. It belongs to the suborder Serpentes, the snakes.
It contains the following families:
- Family Aniliidae (coral pipe snakes and pipe snakes)
- Family Anomochilidae (dwarf pipe snakes)
- Family Boidae (boas and pythons)
- Family Bolyeriidae (Round Island boas)
- Family Cylindrophiidae (Asian pipe snakes)
- Family Loxocemidae (Mexican burrowing pythons)
- Family Tropidophiidae (dwarf boas)
- Family Uropeltidae (shield-tailed snakes and short-tail snakes)
- Family Xenopeltidae (sunbeam snakes)
