Jia Baoyu (賈寶玉) is the name of one of the principal characters of the classic Chinese novel Dream of the Red Chamber, also known as the Story of the Stone. Baoyu was born with the magical jade stone of the book's title in his mouth. He was raised with girls and grew to dislike the company of boys. Baoyu's romance with Lin Daiyu forms one of the novel's main plotlines.
