Little Poland

Little Poland or Lesser Poland (Polish Małopolska, Latin: Polonia Minor) is one of the historical regions of Poland. It is located in the south of Poland around the city of Kraków and Tarnów.

Most of Little Poland lies within the boundaries of Lesser Poland Voivodship, Subcarpathian Voivodship, Swietokrzyskie Voivodship, Lublin Voivodship and the eastern parts of the neighbouring Silesian Voivodship - the administrative provinces or voivodships created in 1999.

The wooden architecture (churches most notably) of Lesser Poland are on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
