New World wine

New World wines is often used as a term to describe those wines from the New World countries, particularly Australia, Latin America and the United States of America, when constrasting with the Old World wines from Europe.

New World wines are typically higher in alcohol and more fruit flavoured, while Old World wines are more concerned with terroir and tradition.
