ORION Network

ORION (Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network) connects Ontario’s research institutions -- including every Ontario university, most colleges, several teaching hospitals, and a few school boards -- to one another using high-speed optical fibre. With more than 8,200 km of optical fibre through 23 PoPs Point of Presence in major centres in 21 cities across Ontario, ORION is one of the largest research and education (R&E) networks ever built.
