Parallelism (grammar)

In grammar, parallelism is the principle that expressions of similar content should have similar structure. Parallelisms of various sorts are the chief rhetorical device of Biblical poetry in Hebrew.

Examples

Incorrect sentence without parallelism:

I like running, biking, and to skateboard.

Correct sentence using parallelism:

I like running, biking, and skateboarding.
