Planetarian

planetarian ~ちいさなほしのゆめ~, or planetarian -the reverie of a little planet-, was released in 2004 by Key, a Japanese ren'ai game studio, whose previous works included Kanon, AIR, and Clannad.

Planetarian is a Kinetic Novel, a short visual novel which usually does not empower the user to make decisions like in most other visual novels. Instead, the player only proceeds through the game just by reading. In that sense, planetarian, unlike Key's past works, isn't really a game.

Planetarian is available only through the Kinetic Novel website and costs 1,050 yen (~$10 US).

Insani, a fan translation group, has fully translated the work, as well as the free trial, into English. The translated trial version and the patch for the full version is available on their get page, as well as instructions on how to fill out the forms for purchase of the visual novel.
