This is a list of political parties around the world. A political party is a political organization subscribing to a certain ideology or formed around very special issues with the aim to participate in power, usually by participating in elections.

Included are the countries and entities listed in the list of sovereign states and the list of dependent territories (as far as these last have a form of self government).
