Lattice QCD

(Redirected from QCD lattice model)

Lattice Quantum Chromodynamics (Lattice QCD) is the theory of quarks and gluons formulated on a space-time lattice. The formulation of quantum chromodynamics on a discrete rather than continuous space-time resolves many difficulties (e.g. divergencies) associated with the continuum field theories. Most importantly, Lattice QCD provides the framework for investigating of non-perturbative phenomenas such as confinement, which are intractable by means of analytic field theories.
