Röntgen equivalent man

The Röntgen equivalent man or rem (symbol rem) is a unit of radiation dose. It is the product of the absorbed dose in röntgens and the biological efficiency of the radiation. The corresponding SI derived unit is the sievert, which equals 100 rem.

A millirem (abbr. mrem) is one thousandth of a rem.
