Ravi Shastri

Ravishankar Jayadritha Shastri (born May 27, 1962) is an Indian cricketer. He was an all-rounder.

Shastri made his first-class debut at the age of 17 in Indian domestic cricket in 1979, and in 1980/81 Shastri made his Test debut against England. He played for India in 43 tests and 150 one day internationals. In domestic cricket he was the first Indian to play for Glamorgan.

In 1984, Shastri became only the second cricketer to ever hit six sixes off one over, playing for Bombay against Baroda, in Bombay. In the same innings he went on to make the fastest double-hundred in first class cricket, off 123 balls in 113 minutes.

He was the vice-captain of the Indian team. He has captained India for few games.
