The Feelies

Note: The Feelies was also the term used in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World for a fictional technology for multisensory virtual-reality entertainment.

The Feelies were an alternative rock group from Hoboken, New Jersey. They were formed in 1976 and disbanded in 1992.

Career

By 1978-79, after a few members were changing in line-up, the band's musical career first started and recorded their first album Crazy Rhythms, then released it in 1980.

The band took a break for several years until reuniting in 1985 and released their first album in 6 years, titled The Good Earth in 1986, soon followed by Only Life in 1988. They must have spend much of 1988-1989 touring, then released their final album Time for a Witness in 1991. They soon thereafter broke up.
