Thomas Haden Church (born June 17, 1961) is a Texas-born television actor and cartoon voice actor who started in the entertainment business as a radio personality. A part in an independent film convinced him to move to California to pursue an acting career. Church played the part of "Lowell" for five seasons (1990-95) on the NBC sitcom, Wings.
More recently, Church had a starring role in Sideways. For his performance in this role he won an IFP Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male and he was nominated for (but did not win) an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
In 2005, Church was announced to be the villain for Spider-Man 3, due for release in theaters in the United States in 2007.
