Urban

The term urban means cities and towns as distinct from rural areas.

In terms of music, urban music and urban radio are synonymous with the contemporary musical genres hip hop and R&B, and the associate hip hop culture which originated in New York City and is popular in urban areas (in these contexts the term "black music" has sometimes been used, and urban serves as a race-neutral replacement).
