Vno is the maximum safe cruise speed of an aircraft. It stands for "velocity-normal operation." Higher speeds may add dangerous stress to the machine.
The Vno is marked on the airspeed indicator as a yellow arc from the Vno to the Vne ("velocity - never exceed").
